Announced that overseas recruitment for Adult Social Care ended with effect from 22nd July 2025.
As of the 22nd July the requirement for sponsors to first try to recruit from the pool of Skilled Workers seeking new sponsorship has been removed. The DHSC has provided funding to regional partnerships in 2025/26 to support workers impacted by non-compliance to find alternative employment in the sector and will continue this work. Providers with suitable vacancies should however continue to work with regional partnerships to recruit from this pool of workers.
