South London Partnership is lobbying for key infrastructure improvements to provide South London residents with the transport provision other parts of the capital take for granted. In
- Crossrail 2 is crucial to relieving the congestion on rail lines into Waterloo. It will improve services from 15 stations within the sub-region and convert Wimbledon into one of the capital’s key transport hubs. More information can be found here.
- Brighton Mainline Improvements are required both to improve longer distance journeys with Brighton and Gatwick airport but also to allow local rail services to begin the process of ‘Metroisation’ and allow the
sub-region’sresidents to have services equivalent to areas of London which have access to the London underground
- Tramlink extensions will provide greater accessibility to areas with extremely limited transport options and allow for greater economic growth including linking up the London Cancer Hub planned for the Royal Marsden Hospital site
